Although Petworth is situated in beautiful countryside, it is very easily accessible, being only 50 miles from central London and an hour from Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

The Channel Ports, too, are an easy drive way.

For those wishing to travel to the area by train, two mainline stations - Haslemere and Pulborough - are approximately 20 minutes from Petworth. Accommodation in the area caters for all tastes, from the grandeur of 12th century Amberley Castle, to comfortable old coaching inns or cosy farmhouse bed-and­ breakfast facilities.
